The original work was a medium sized painting in ink on heavy paper with cut outs. I like the dislocated feel of the already drawn on cut outs pasted on the paper. Who is this disheveled figure wearing a suit and hat in the middle of the jungle surrounded by various tropical palms and ferns? The cut outs seem to capture the way the tropical light is filtered and refracted by the jungle canopy.
