Hi, I’m Clinton De Vere — an Australian artist living in Düsseldorf, Germany.

I’ve spent most of my life moving across cultures — growing up in Papua New Guinea, then living in Japan, Thailand, the UK, and now Europe. That mix of places and people really shapes how I see the world, and it shows up in my art.

I’m drawn to expressive marks, loose brushwork, and the emotion in a face or figure. A lot of my work mixes the personal with the historical — old Hollywood, folklore, vintage photos — blended with memory and intuition.

I have a Masters in Visual Arts, School of Art & Design, Australian National University, as well as a BA in Fine Art, Anthropology, and History. My work has been shown in both Australia and Europe. Wherever I’ve lived, I’ve kept up a regular studio practice.
