For me the Creativity Art Mail Club is a way of reconnecting to the feeling of getting something special in the mail and being able to hold it and keep it. I also want art to be accessible to everybody. Being surrounded by art makes us happier mentally and spiritually.

I grew up in Papua New Guinea and every day we would go to the central post office and collect our mail. There was no television at this time, let alone internet, so the post was the main way we kept in contact with the outside world. Getting mail had a special feeling. We would write letters and wait for the reply.

My art was influenced by traditional Melanesian art and design, and by the light and colors of the tropics.

The fact we didn't have television meant that going to the pictures was a big event. The mythology of old Hollywood can be seen in my Hollywood paintings. 

The strange atmosphere of expatriate life and the colonial setting comes out in my ink drawings where cheerful characters operate in an odd world.

I've been lucky enough to live around the world and this experience is also a part of my art.
