Originally acrylic on canvas, the work was inspired by a photo from the 1939 B&W movie 'Gunga Din'. The painting, in grey tones of a movie set, is part of a series of paintings I did of studio back lots and the exterior sets. I find it evocative and nostalgic. Definitely a work for anyone fascinated by Old Hollywood, the studio system and studio back lots.
